JEAN

Jean a retired school teacher, is one of our most active members. She still coaches high school basketball, is an avid golfer and has played for the Red Sox!!! Since 2015, Jean has participated every year in the Red Sox Fan Fantasy Camp in JetBlue Park. Learn all about Jean's amazing life!

SUZANNE

Suzanne was forced into early retirement in 2013, due to all the pain and suffering from a herniated disc in her lower back and bulging disc in her neck. Now on her 4-Year anniversary with GET STRONG, learn how Suzie has been able to battle the pain and is able to love life and especially retirement!

Ben

As a 2X Cancer Survivor, Ben has had a long road of recovery. Ben joined GET STRONG just over a year ago and has made amazing progress. Take a moment and learn about his journey.

Cathy

Cathy has been training with GET STRONG for 5 years. Learn about her amazing journey from sitting on the couch in her 50's to Skydiving on her 60th Birthday! Cathy is still going strong today, deadlifting over 200lbs!

 Michelle  I have been working with Nigel for one year, starting out with kettle bells and moving up to bar workouts. My original goal was to tone up a little. Little did I know how much of an impact it would have on my overall well being! Not only do I feel that I have toned up, but I also feel more self confident, healthier, stronger and better about myself. The atmosphere of the gym is fun and friendly with no feelings of intimidation at all. Nigel is enjoyable to work with and coaches you with great enthusiasm and motivation. I highly recommend GET STRONG! It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life!

 kim  I've been going to Get Strong for about four years now and I cannot say enough good things about it. Nigel is great and really fun. There is always a great, positive and encouraging atmosphere and lots of laughter. Members have personal work with their trainer each week and then have options for additional group classes that are focused on movement restoration and stretching. Each person gets a personalized program designed specifically for their own fitness level, old injuries or level of flexibility. You can start from a really unfit state (like me) or from super fit. They also constantly chart your progress to guide the changes in your personal program. They rotate activities, movements and increase intensity over the course of each month and then change the program to reflect your progress. The absolute best part...especially for someone like me that really needs to get in shape, but never liked formal exercise in the past, is that they make it fun. They work you out powerfully and effectively, and I make great progress, but I never feel like a truck ran over me, which is great, because I don't get discouraged. It inspires me to keep going. Everyone tells me how much thinner and toned I look. They also have clients ranging from teens to retirees.

Before coming to Get Strong, I was never able to stick with any kind of exercise routine but Nigel has a way of making working out seem fun and makes you want to keep coming back. Such a great environment to be in, with people who encourage and motivate you.

 Christina  There aren't many fitness facilities that have a plan in place for you, the minute you walk in the door. The focus is strength training, which is critical to our bodies as we age. Its helped me with my chronic back pain, which is not something that would have happened at a franchise gym. Bonus, I can now carry all my groceries into my home in one trip!
